Protected Planet and its World Database on Protected and Conserved Areas (WDPCA) provide the headline indicator for KMGBF Target 3, compiling national data to illuminate global progress

We are asking Parties to review and update their data by 30th November 2026 to inform the next official, global Target 3 assessment: the Protected Planet Report 2027
- 03
Parties are also invited to provide data on the effectiveness of protected and conserved areas using a simple, updated reporting system
